Mafkar Company is an engineering and construction company based in Sulaymaniyah, in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. It was founded in 2006 by its managing director, Eng. Mohammad Ali Salih, who has been designing and building infrastructure in Iraq since 1991.
Before 2011, Eng. Salih personally led many of the projects on this site, including the BanuiTalaban Dam, the Dewana Dam study, the Malwan bridge and Shar Park; they are marked “Led by our founder”. Since 2011 he has carried out his work through Mafkar Company, which has designed and built overpasses in Kalar and Baqubah, is building Al-Khalis Hospital in Diyala, and has worked in Baghdad and in Amman, Jordan. Over the years, their clients have included the Kurdistan Region Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Health of Iraq and the Central Bank of Iraq, as well as municipalities, banks and United Nations agencies.
Our engineers cover the full project cycle: feasibility studies and surveys; civil, structural and architectural design; construction and site management; and the renovation of existing structures. Mafkar is also the official dealer of Maars Living Walls partition systems in Iraq, supplying and installing them for banks and government offices.
We judge our work by what it gives back: roads that keep traffic moving, dams that store water for farms and towns, and public buildings that serve their communities for decades.

Mafkar Company is the official Maars Living Walls dealer in Iraq. It supplies and installs the Dutch manufacturer’s partition systems for banks, ministries and municipalities, including the new Central Bank of Iraq headquarters in Baghdad.

Yes. Alongside government ministries and municipalities, Mafkar works for banks and other private clients, such as Harem Finance Bank in Sulaymaniyah and The Housing Bank in Amman.
