From 2021 to 2023, Mafkar Company designed and built the Sheikh Mohammed Talabani Overpass and roundabout in Kalar, Sulaymaniyah Governorate, with a budget of over $4 million.
The dual-lane bridge is 920 metres long and 18.5 metres wide, carried by 27 columns and 120 girders across 10 spans. It is one of the largest infrastructure projects Mafkar has delivered.
