From 2008 to 2010, Mafkar’s founder, Eng. Mohammad Ali Salih, led the redesign and construction of the Water Directorate building for Sulaymaniyah Municipality.

The seven-storey building has an area of 1,000 m² and is fitted throughout with Maars Living Walls partition systems, giving the Water Directorate modern, functional offices.
